Live the Moment Light

September 19 - December 13, 2026

Live the Moment Light brings together the work of Soleé Darrell, Terri Friedman, Corita Kent, and Angelica Trimble-Yanu, four artists who use abstraction, color, and material experimentation to navigate uncertainty and transformation. Spanning more than six decades, the exhibition reveals unexpected conversations across generations, exploring how art can help us remain present through both light and darkness while finding balance in moments of transition.

The exhibition takes its title from Corita Kent's 1977 serigraph, live the moment light. Created during a period of reflection and renewal in the artist's later career, the work offers less of a declaration than an invitation: to meet both joy and difficulty with openness, curiosity, and care. Throughout her practice, Kent believed that paying close attention to the world was itself a creative act, one capable of changing how we see ourselves and one another.

That spirit extends throughout the exhibition. Although each artist works in a distinct medium and visual language, all share a commitment to process as a form of inquiry. Through color, material, and experimentation, their work suggests that transformation unfolds through curiosity, reflection, and sustained attention.

Live the Moment Light invites viewers to slow down and notice. Together, these works suggest that art offers a way to inhabit life’s complexities more fully, finding beauty, resilience, and possibility along the way.
